ASTM A668 and ASTM A473 Clevises
Clevises are manufactured to different ASTM forging specifications depending on the base material.
Carbon and alloy steel clevises are forged per ASTM A668, a general specification covering untreated and heat-treated carbon and alloy steel forgings for general industrial use. ASTM A668 includes multiple classes (Class A through Class F), which vary by strength and heat treatment level.
Stainless steel clevises are forged per ASTM A473, the specification covering stainless steel forgings for corrosion-resistant and high-temperature service. Stainless clevises are available through our manufacturing partners for projects requiring added corrosion resistance in marine, wastewater, or outdoor infrastructure applications.
Custom Clevis Pins
Custom clevis pins are supplied to pair with our clevises and are available in straight or headed configurations. Straight pins run through both clevis ends with a cotter pin securing each end, while headed pins have a fixed head on one end and a single cotter pin on the opposite end. Clevis pins are available in steel and stainless steel material options, with finish choices including plain, galvanized, and plated.
